Nowadays technical people require their Secretaries or Assistants to do more advanced work on the computer to be able to do the work more efficiently. After you have thoroughly learned the introduction and intermediate levels of Microsoft Office, you will go on to much more advanced levels. The course covers the more advanced features of Excel and Visual Basic for Applications, helping you to utilise Excel to make complex calculations easily and to write your own macros. You will also learn how to write technical Reports by using advanced features of Microsoft Word. We will step-by-step show you how to make technical drawings on the computer with AutoCAD – you will be surprised how easy that can be. Microsoft Project will enable you to set-up plans for small or large projects that need to be done.
Grade 12 with a pass mark of 40% in English. You should have passed Mathematics up to grade 9. If you don’t comply with these requirements, you need to complete the first year of the Diploma for Secretarial and Office Computing before you can be accepted for this course. No computer knowledge required.
